Now that I have an Aquaduck, I really see the safety advantage in not having my little guy risk kicking his stepstool out from under himself while leaning and stretching forward to reach the water. Because I can stand back, he is taking charge of washing up and brushing teeth. Safety, competence, confidence, responsibility, and reward in his bathroom routine because I risked a couple of bucks on some weird little gizmo. Maybe it won't work for everyone, but it's worth a try. We've been using it for a few months and the neck is starting to stretch out and the aquaduck is starting to droop, so the water doesn't go as far out as it used to. Pretty soon it won't be any help at all. UPDATE: It's 4 months later and we're still using the Aquaduck. I discovered that the problem is that my daughter yanks on the yellow part of the Aquaduck pretty hard, and over time she manages to get it partially, if not totally free, from the blue part. When it starts to sag, I now push the hard yellow part back into the blue part, wiggling it around until it's jutting out like I like. Then the Aquaduck works like new. In the end I'm just grateful it holds up to my often rambunctious, non-desirous of hand washing, toddler, even if it does need the occasional half-second adjustment.
